THURSDAY MAY 31, 2018

Arrival in Athens. Taxi transportation to Hotel provided, check in at a 3* Hotel situated at the South suburbs of Athens. Overnight in ATHENS

FRIDAY JUNE 1, 2018

Free day, Suggested visits: Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Walks in the gobbled streets of “Plaka” the oldest neighborhood of Athens under the rock of Acropolis.

20:00 Taxi transportation from the Hotel to the Port of Piraeus provided 21:30 Embarkation – ANEK lines. Boat leaves for Crete (city of Heraklion) at 21:00 hrs. Overnight on BOARD, inside cabin (no window), shared with another person/s.

SATURDAY JUNE 2, 2018

06:00-08:00 Taxi transportation from the port of Heraklion to the city of Rethymno Check in at the Hotel in twin rooms. In case you desire not to share your room with another person, we can arrange it for you upon request and depending on availability with a surcharge.

17:30 – 19:00 Guided tour for the athletes

19:00 – 20:00 Registration for the participants

20:00 – 20:30 Information for the race, athletes’ awarding

20:30 – 21:30 pasta party

21:30 – 22:00 traditional Cretan dances All above will take place at Lyceum Club, 89 Eleftheriou Venizelou str., Venetian Port, Rethymno.

SUNDAY JUNE 3, 2018, day of the Race

Time schedule:

05:00 Bus departure from the City Hall of Rethymno

07:30 Athletes 35 km category race from Nida’s plateau(Anogia)

10:30 Arrival of the first 35 km category athlete

14:00 Finish for the 35 km category last athlete

14:150 Athletes’ meal at Kouroutes

16:00 Bus departure from Kouroutes to Rethymno Free evening in the city of Rethymno. Overnight in RETHYMNO

MONDAY JUNE 4, 2018 Free day. Suggested: Morning visit of the “Fortetza” fortress

12:00 hrs transfer to Panormo bay by taxi provided. Panormo is situated around 25 kms to the east of Rethymno. There you can enjoy the sea and, if you wish, have lunch in one of the taverns.

16:00 hrs transfer back to the Hotel by same taxi provided Free evening to stroll around the old harbor of Rethymno and enjoy dinner in one of the many picturesque taverns. Overnight in RETHYMNO

TUESDAY JUNE 5, 2018

09:30 Rethymno – Knossos (81 km – 1 hour 20΄) Visit of the Archaeological site (entrance tickets included, guide, if needed, not included)

13:00 Transfer by taxi (provided) from Knossos to the city of Heraklion (approx. 15’ drive). There, you can spend the rest of the afternoon strolling around the pedestrian streets in the center of the town, enjoying food or coffee in one of the many coffee bars and taverns of the city.

20:30 EMBARKATION, 21:00 hrs departure with ANEK lines for the port of Piraeus Overnight on BOARD, inside cabin (no window), shared with another person/s.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 6, 2018

Arrival at Piraeus port at 06:00 hrs. TAXI transfer (provided), to the airport for your departure back home. Arrival there, around 08:00 hrs. In case you have time to enjoy Athens for some more hours before your departure, we can transfer you in the center of the city instead of the airport, upon request. In that case you should arrange for your transportation to the airport on your own.

Depending on the time of your departure, we suggest book the taxi driver that will take you from Piraeus to Athens.
